Quinoa Upma & Chutney

Quinoa upma is a nutritious, hearty upma variant made with nutty quinoaseeds, vibrant seasonings and heathy mixed veggies. Make it for breakfast orbrunch!

  • 1 cup Quinoa
  • 1 cup Green beans diced,
  • 1 cup Green peas
  • 1 cup Carrots diced
  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger Finely diced
  • 1-2 Green Chillies Finely diced
  • Few Curry leaves
  • 1 Lime
  • Cilantro
  • Salt to taste

Mini Colored Pepper Chutney:

  • Airfry or bake papers at 350F for 10-12 mins
  • 1 Tablespoon Chana dal dry roasted
  • 1 Tablespoon Urad dal dry roasted
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin dry roasted
  • 1 Teaspoon soft tamarind pits removed
  • 2-5 Red Chilis dry roasted
  • 1 bunch cilantroi
  • a pinch of hing


10 min recipe in IP:

  • Add Quinoa with 1:2 water along with a hint of turmeric & salt to inner pot of IP. Use a steamer and add beans, peas, carrots.
  • Add 1 Tablespoon Ginger, finely diced.
  • Add 1-2 Green chilis, finely diced.
  • Add few curry leaves (optional).
  • Close IP and steam for High Pressure, 2 mins.
  • Once time is up, allow to sit for 5 mins and Quick Release (QR) Pressure.
  • Allow to cool completely! Fluff with a fork!
  • Add juice of 1 lime or 1 lemon.
  • Add salt to taste,  chopped cilantro and dry roasted seasoning.
  • Serve with chutney!

Instruction for Chutney: Grind to a coarse paste

  • Serve as a dip with veggie sticks or with upma!!!!
